The Burlington Volunteer Fire Department’s was established in 1908 as the official Fire Department for the City of Burlington. In 1952 the rural fire protection district was formed and we cover approximately 850 square miles serving about 3500 residents in far eastern Kit Carson County.

Morgan Community College (MCC) is a community college in Fort Morgan, Colorado. It is a member of the Colorado Community College System. Nestled in the heart of Colorado’s Central Plains, The Old Town Museum is a 6 1/2 acre historic site includes 21 fully restored buildings with authentic artifacts from the turn-of-the-century. Easily accessible from I-70 near the Colorado / Kansas border, Old Town Museum celebrates local agriculture, history and heritage. Special Interactive Exhibits offer children a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about pioneer life on the Colorado prairie.
